During the night of October 11, a Russian drone struck a nine-story building in Dnipro. An explosion shattered windows and damaged apartments. Glass shattered, a fire broke out, and there was heavy smoke, according to residents. People heard their neighbors screaming and urging them to immediately evacuate the building.

Resident Natalia Anatolyevna recalls that the explosion occurred right next to her apartment, followed by a fire. According to her, she and her neighbors were able to escape, although it initially seemed that the door was blocked. Glass on the balcony of her apartment was broken, cornices fell on the kitchen, and plaster remained on the floor. The smell of smoke permeated the apartment. A neighboring building was also affected: one of the elderly residents felt unwell during the night and called for help. The woman is waiting for assistance and plans to file a claim for compensation for the damage to her apartment.

Olga was at home with her child at the time of the attack. Before the explosion, the family received a notification about the movement of a hostile drone in their area, so they went into the hallway. According to the woman, the blast wave blew glass and fragments of windows into the room. All three windows facing the direction of the impact were damaged and require complete replacement; Olga and her child were not injured. The neighbors also had their windowpanes broken, and glass fragments scattered throughout the rooms. The woman plans to file a claim for reconstruction and was waiting for the police to arrive to document the aftermath of the shelling.

Another resident, Sergei, reported that his apartment was empty during the attack, but the windows were also broken. He said he had not heard of any injuries among his acquaintances.

Currently, people are gathering in the courtyard, clearing debris, and trying to figure out how to repair the damaged homes. Municipal services, police, and humanitarian organizations are working on the scene, helping to board up broken windows and process requests for assistance.
