Dnipro: "Teploenergo" completes preparations for the heating season — 277 generators and readiness of 93%

In Dnipro, the "Teploenergo" utility is continuing preparations for the heating season: at the facility that provides heat to three residential buildings, a generator for backup power during outages has been installed. In total, 277 generators are already operating at the company's facilities, and over 7 km of emergency heat networks and 25 km of thermal insulation have been replaced. The company's readiness is 93%.

The "Teploenergo" municipal enterprise of the Dnipro city council is continuing preparations for the 2026-2027 heating season. Technical and repair work is ongoing at the company's facilities.

A power generation unit has been installed at the facility that provides heating for three residential buildings. This will provide backup power during prolonged emergencies or grid outages, and will allow the boiler equipment to continue operating, reducing the risk of accidents.

According to the company's director, Andriy Klymenko, a total of 277 generators have already been installed at "Teploenergo" facilities, and materials are expected for 11 more sites, while over 60 facilities are currently operational.

Meanwhile, repairs to the heating networks are ongoing. At one of the facilities, a major overhaul of the overhead section of the heating network, which supplies heat to a medical facility and a kindergarten, is nearing completion: approximately 150 meters of heating pipe have been replaced, and insulation will begin soon. According to Dmitry Gryzov, the senior master of the heating department, the section did not pass hydraulic tests after the end of the season, so it was decided to replace it, and after the repair, re-tests were carried out.

Overall, the company replaced over 7 kilometers of damaged heating networks, completed repairs on all planned boilers, restored 25 kilometers of pipeline insulation, and installed 44 energy-efficient pumps. Repairs on three additional boilers are still ongoing. The company's overall readiness for the heating season is 93%; all planned work must be completed before the start of the season.
