This was announced by Oleksiy Desna, Deputy Head of the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Administration. According to him, preparatory measures are planned to be completed at 100% before the start of the heating season, and in some cities in the region, the heating systems have already been filled. Work is continuing despite the security situation.
More than 1460 kilometers of heating networks have been replaced in the region, and almost a thousand boilers are ready for operation. Nearly 13 thousand multi-story buildings already have repaired and tested heating systems. Preparations for winter are not only for residential buildings, but also for educational institutions and hospitals.
The region is supplied with alternative power sources at 85% — international partners have provided assistance; there is also a reserve of fuel for generators. The region is implementing a resilience plan: protection of equipment of municipal enterprises and objects of critical infrastructure, development of energy generation, backup power supply for water and heating systems, installation of block-modular boilers and cogeneration plants.
