Dnipropetrovsk region loses a defender who died in a drone attack
The Vilyanka community mourns the loss of Sergei Grinchenko, who died in Kharkiv as a result of an attack by a Russian drone. The 53-year-old soldier served as a grenade launcher in the security battalion. He was laid to rest on October 31.
A soldier from Dnipropetrovsk, Sergei Grinchenko, died in Kharkiv as a result of an attack by a Russian drone. This was reported by the Vilyanka city council.
Sergei Mykolayovich Grinchenko was born on July 11, 1973, in Vilyanka. Before joining the army, he worked at a mining and metallurgical plant and made furniture on order.
In June 2025, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a grenade launcher in the security battalion.
The defender died on October 24, 2026, as a result of being hit by a hostile drone. He was laid to rest on October 31 at the cemetery in the village of Didevo in the Kamianets-Podilsky district. The Vilyanka city council expressed condolences to the relatives, friends, and comrades of the deceased.
