Former head of the territorial defense forces in Dnipropetrovsk region suspected of inflating mobilization figures
According to the investigation, the register was altered to include individuals who had already served. The former official is accused of unauthorized data modification.
A former acting head of one of the district territorial defense forces and civil protection units in Dnipropetrovsk region has been charged. According to the Specialized Prosecutor's Office, the investigation links the case to the alteration of the status of military personnel in order to increase mobilization figures and fulfill the plan.
According to the investigation, initially, these military personnel were marked as individuals who had not yet been called up. Subsequently, the official added information about their mobilization and assignment to the same military unit, in which they had already served. As a result, the system showed a record of a repeat call-up, although this was not the case.
The suspect's actions have been classified under Article 1 of Part 362 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This involves unauthorized modification of information in an automated system by a person who has the right to access it.
