Experts point out that fungal toxins can affect the digestive system, nervous system, liver, and kidneys. The danger comes not only from poisonous types of mushrooms, but also from old, overripe, damaged, or improperly stored specimens.

Children under 12 years of age are not recommended to consume wild mushrooms due to the sensitivity of a child's body to toxins. The safest option is to prefer mushrooms grown in industrial conditions. In case of symptoms of poisoning – nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, or weakness – it is necessary to immediately seek medical help.
