Over 530 Million UAH to be Recovered from State Enterprise for Pollution of the Ingul River

A state-owned enterprise involved in the extraction of minerals in the Kryvyi Rih region, will have to pay over 530 million Ukrainian hryvnias for exceeding the permitted levels of pollutants discharged into the Ingul River.

The state-owned enterprise, which specializes in the extraction of minerals in the Kryvyi Rih region, has been ordered to compensate for damages in the amount of over 530 million Ukrainian hryvnias.

The reason for the recovery is the discharge of pollutants into the Ingul River that exceeded permitted levels. This resulted in the pollution of the water body and damage to the environment.

Currently, it is unknown which specific substances were discharged into the river and what impact this had on the Ingul River ecosystem. It is also not reported what measures the enterprise will take to mitigate the consequences of the pollution and prevent similar incidents in the future.
