In Dnipro, the police patrol reminded residents about the signs of domestic violence, which may not always be physical. Law enforcement officials are urging people not to remain silent and to seek help if they have witnessed or experienced violence.
The patrol police of the Dnipropetrovsk region reminded that domestic violence can be not only physical, but also psychological, sexual, and economic. According to law enforcement officials, silence allows violence to continue, so it is important to notice warning signs in time and not remain indifferent.
Police identify four main types of domestic violence: physical, which includes hitting, pushing, biting, etc.; psychological, which involves constant insults, humiliation, threats, harassment, blackmail, and intimidation; sexual, meaning forcing someone to engage in unwanted sexual acts; and economic, which involves depriving someone of money, food, housing, clothing, or documents, as well as preventing them from working or studying.
The police emphasize that violence is not limited to physical assault, but can also manifest as control, threats, and depriving a person of the ability to independently manage their own life.
