On October 6, from 15:00 to the end of the day, measures to limit electricity consumption will be in effect in parts of Ukraine. New power outages have been recorded in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions due to Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure. Emergency repair work is ongoing in these areas under safe conditions.
"Ukrenergo" announced that on October 6, from 15:00 to the end of the day, measures to limit electricity consumption will be applied in parts of the regions of Ukraine. The reason is damage to equipment as a result of Russian strikes on the energy infrastructure and the need to avoid overloading it. The list of regions where restrictions will be in place is not provided.
In the morning of October 6, new power outages were recorded in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. In areas where it is safe, energy workers are already carrying out emergency repair work to restore power to consumers as quickly as possible.
As of 09:30 on October 6, electricity consumption was 2.9% higher than at the same time on Monday. "Ukrenergo" explained this by citing cloudy weather in a significant part of the region: household solar power plants are operating less efficiently, so they are drawing more electricity from the main grid.
The company urges consumers to use electricity sparingly and avoid using multiple high-power appliances at the same time when power is restored according to the schedule. It is advisable to use high-power appliances between 10:00 and 15:00. You can find the schedule for power outages in your area on the official website of the regional energy company.
